The Stafford County Parks & Recreation Gymnastics Program began in 1968 on a limited basis. In 1980, a year-round gymnastics program was started to provide an opportunity for USAG competition. The program is self-supporting. We offer the finest public programs and facilities in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Our program also prides itself on being able to offer a positive, safe environment of hard working coaches and students. Our goal is to build confidence and self-esteem by giving children the chance to appreciate the joy of movement and self-expression through the challenging sport of gymnastics. By surrounding children with encouragement and a positive, structured environment, we hope to supplement their growth and development into happy, active, well-adjusted adults. In teaching our gymnasts to do things right, winning becomes a by product not the goal.
